Two Little Indians

Along with their teepee and Charlie's bow and arrow, Dede and Robie blessed Charlie and Evie with these amazing Indian costumes.  These are the sweetest, softest things ever and they are obsessed with them.  Charlie insists on wearing his constantly, and even sleeps in it, telling me that it can definitely be pajamas because it is "SO soft."  Infallible logic.  It took a little convincing to get Evie into hers, but once she did, she was hooked--and so pleased with herself.  They have had so much fun pretending together, and I just think they look so cute! :)

Here is little Fast Reindeer and Chief Running Deer.  Charlie and I worked hard to come up with a great Indian name (major qualification was that it imply that he is incredibly fast).  We came up with Running Deer and Charlie was thrilled...until Evie declared that she was going to be Fast Reindeer.  Charlie immediately began worrying that her name sounded even faster than his.  I convinced him that it was definitely not faster, but he hasn't been quite as pleased with his name since...poor guy!

(In case you are wondering, their backpacks are their "quivers," for holding arrows.)

 I love Evie's feather. :)
 Running off to a hunt.
Looking so fabulous requires a certain amount of mirror time.  As you can tell, they (especially Evie) are quite pleased with themselves.

I love these wild little Indians!
