Ford was baptized at the end of March and it ended up being such a fun, special weekend. His godparents, Addie and Bryan, came up to Dallas with Aunt Dede and all the kids and they, along with Ford's amazing aunts, uncles, and grandparents, made it the best weekend. We had so much fun being with everyone and celebrating sweet Ford. Evie and Charlie are now convinced that baptisms are the best thing ever and very interested in hearing all about theirs. :)
The Frets/Reed contingent arrived on Saturday morning, and we wasted no time. After plain in the yard, we headed out to the new Children's Garden at the Arboretum and had a great time exploring there. Here is the little honoree, enjoying (kind of) his excursion.
Everyone loved playing in the water.
Katie was super modest. :)
Katie and Julia were working on hatching some eggs.
Charlie and his idol, Jackson.
I love these little gymnasts...they (especially Julia) tumble as much as they walk!
We were so honored to have Mr. Elam join us for the weekend! He is the most laid-back, sweet little guy. I guess #4 doesn't have a choice!
Our whole crew went to the kids' favorite restaurant, Mi Cocina, for dinner. I'm not sure the staff enjoyed the meal as much as we did, but we sure did have a good time! :)
Papa and Ahh with Walter and Evie, waiting for a table.
The kids' table was wild. Luckily, I had my back to this table and could pretend I didn't know what they were doing. :)
Ford was starting to think that his busy baptism weekend wasn't quite as relaxing as he would like, but once he realized we weren't leaving, he settled in and enjoyed dinner (especially being held by Dede).
Now, on to the baptism...
