Easter Nests

Our family has a long-standing tradition of making Easter nests on the day before Easter for the day before Easter for the bunny to leave our baskets in.  Growing up, I assumed everyone did this; it was only when I was an adult that I realized that it wasn't quite such widespread tradition. :)  Despite that, we love the tradition and I have enjoyed seeing our kiddos continue it.  It is so fun to see this entire generation of cousins, ages 9 down to Ford, get so excited about picking wildflowers--even the big boys!

Here's Charlie heading out with a big bag--he was expecting a huge haul.
Sweet Evie was, as usual, a little unsure about the whole thing.
But she got into it. :)

Evie got a little help from Daddy.

These cousins were all so cute and excited over the flowers they were finding.

Love this girl.
Clint did not grow up making Easter nests, but he has become quite adept at it.  As with everything, he had to make his [Evie's] just perfect.  They are two peas in a pod!
Our nests--Walter, Ford, Charlie and Evie.
Little man observed the nest making with great interest.  He was a little peeved that his was so tiny.
Ahh talked him down.
Evie and Charlotte are so funny together.  Charlotte is just over a year older than Evie and Evie just thinks she is amazing.  They were swinging with Robie after nest making and he said their conversation was so funny.  Here is Evie proudly reporting to Charlotte that "when I go pee pee on the potty, I get candy."  I am sure Charlotte was terribly impressed.

Charlie and Evie love Papa and Ahh's new climbing dome.

Best part of our Seguin trips (aside from Ranger rides and unlimited ESPN, of course): Papa is a tireless reader!
