While we were snowed in, John Charlie was thoughtful enough to drop off the supplies for a gingerbread house, so the kids and I went to work constructing our masterpiece. They were actually really good little helpers this year!
Here we are putting the house together. Keeping these two from eating all of my icing/mortar was not easy!
The real fun began when the decorations came out. Charlie was very good and decorating, and did most of the work. Evie started out pretty well, but once she figured out the decorations were edible, very few actually made their way to the house. And both kids enjoyed gum for the first time! :)
The final product! It has actually lasted, with only a few candies missing. Someone [Charlie] "accidentally" ate half the fence the other day, but other than that, this guy is still in pretty good shape!
They are so proud. :)
Ok, so maybe more than a few candies are missing... :)
