I still can't believe it, but Clint and I just celebrated our TEN-year anniversary. I still don't feel terribly old, so I'm realizing just how young we were when we got married! It has been such a fun and exciting ten years. We've been through law school, architecture school, judicial clerkship, medical school, law firm, residency, and babies. After meeting in Georgetown, we've lived in Cambridge, New Haven, New York, London, and Dallas, and traveled to so many fun places (albeit not in the past 2 years :). I have lost count of how many places we've lived and how many moves we've been through, but through it all, we have had so much fun. We were hoping to do a big blow-out ten-year anniversary trip, but alas, work got in the way. We didn't let it ruin our weekend, however. My parents sweetly saved the day by coming up to get the kids, and Clint and I enjoyed the most relaxing "stay-cation" at a Dallas hotel. It was SO fun to go out to nice dinners, sleep in, take naps, go to a movie during the day, and just hang out without worrying about the little people. We had a wonderful time and are so grateful to my sweet parents, who always act like we are doing them a favor by letting them babysit. There is nothing better than such amazing help!
While the cats were away, the little mice played...at the Arboretum (among other places). The kids had a wild weekend, full of Arboretum walks, swimming with Uncle Sam, dinner with Papa, Ahh, Sam, and Auga, and then a fun trip down to Seguin. They did not miss their parents one bit!
