I think the strangest thing about a scheduled c-section is knowing that everything you do is your "last" thing to do as a non-parent. Clint and I had a great time this weekend celebrating our last weekend of non-parenthood. We had a wonderful send-off from some of our best friends on Saturday night and spent the rest of the weekend relaxing and getting all of our last little to-dos done around the house. My parents came up to celebrate Mother's Day with us, which was so wonderful. There was something really special about spending my last Mother's Day as just a daughter with my mom, reflecting on all that she has done in my life and thinking of how much she will influence the way I mother my children. I just cannot believe that I will get to start that process bright and early tomorrow morning!
Clint and Amy had their baby this morning!! I LOVE all the new babies! Praying for you and and the c-section.... I had two of them and can honestly say that I wouldn't of done it any other way! The sooner you can get up and walking the better you will feel... just listen to your body and it will go smooth.
ReplyDeletePS probably TMI but they will make you pass gas before you are released.... warm Dr. Pepper with a bit of prune juice does the
trick : )
